When I stated the classes I wanted to improve my english. By that I mean an important part of the language, that is, the oral interaction. I expected that because in my case that was my weakest topic in english.
So, if you ask me about writing blogs, for me it wasn’t bad, but I would prefer training the oral part. That’s because a simple thing. If you going to use the language to express something, there are a lot of probabilities that you have to handle the situation, speaking. For example, in the case you travel to a country where they speak in English.
By all of this I’m not meaning that writing blogs is a waste of time. In fact, the basic part of learning a new language is knowing how to build sentences and understand what you are saying. So, it isn’t a mistake to learn English in that way.
But, in my case I would like to practice the oral part anyways. I think that we could order the lessons and try to cover it in the best way. For example we could make some activities like make dialogues in the class or something. The topic doesn’t matter, the important thing is speaking.
I’m not trying to say something that: “the classes were bad” or some like that. The problem in my case is that I wanted to learn something new or practice a part that I think is weak for me.
I understand what you did in your classes. Some of my classmates don’t know much about english. If you see the situation in that way, you’ll realize that the blogging experience is really helpful for them. In my case, I have a lot of details that I have to sharpen, if you understand.

Breaking the laws !
I remembered the song performed by Judas Priest when I think about the chilean laws. It's strange, but here, the laws are a confusing thing. For example, the capital punishment is aproved, but only in special cases like terrorism or help another country in case of war. But in the laws of copyright, everyone use a pirate windows (even my notebook).
So, for me, the capital law itsn't a problem, because, in Chile I believe none judge will aprove a judgment that ends with death. If you ask me what I think about, well there are many poits of view. Some people believe that the people can't judge if someone lives or dies. Others think that if you break the law so bad, I mean, a case of a rapist or a mass murderer, they have the right to kill that person and make him o her pay for thoses crimes.
I respect the human life, but there is the dichotomy of what we can do if someone don't have the same respect. In fact, a murderer looks like a judge, because he have the power to choose if you live or die, and if you see the things in that way, you can say: "hey ! it's like the problem of the chickend and the egg". If someone start it, nobody can end it.
In Chile, like the whole world, the crime and those stuff always will be. It's sad think about it, but it's seems to be in our DNA, because I don't have another explanation for that. Well the increase of that in my country it's only a illusion. The media always find a way or another to increase the sales showing the things that all of us know but we don't want to see.

The gateway to my laziness

Until recently I realiced that my notebook changed my life. I saved money and my parents lend me the rest to bought it. I remember that the process was a chaos. The store were I bought it, is in the district of Recoleta (imagine that I live in La Florida) and when I bought the notebook, the storeman intalled windows vista on it (a really bad decision). So I had to go there again and change the software for windows 7 (I love that one).
However, I use to use the notebook in my room, so I don't have to spend my time writing in the old desk computer (well it isn't too old). For me, that's the best way to use a computer, laying in your bed and eat some chips or something else.
I like it because it's a very good computer. It have 4 GB of ram, and a processor Intel dual core of 2.1. I got surprise when I realiced the power of the machine. You can play games of the last year (well, not with the best graphics but you can play the game), so I spend time downloading the ones that I didn't play before.
So I think that my life wouldn't be so bad, but for me, it's more confortable. Who will want to be in a cold room in front of a desk computer, if you can be in your bed with the "Escaldasono" turned on?
PD: Gateway is the brad of the notebook.

Rati, my protector Gnome
One of my best friends is Rati. well, his real name is Victor, but we use to call him Rati, because when he was young, he used to take the food of the friend fridges, when he was in a house. So, it's a diminutive of the spanish word "Ratero". Anyways, he is a good guy.
I met him at school when we were in fifth grade. at the first time, we used to fight but in the high school we started to hang out with another friend that we have, named "Zar" (Yeah, just like the Russian).
So, I consider him one of my best friend because we did a lot of crazy things at school and right know we are still getting togheter too. With him I got drunk the fist time, we did the most of the school homework. We played computer games till the morning. So I'm glad to have him by my side.
I have a lot of crazy adventures with him, and I supose that I will have more. I remember when in the holiday of the year 2009, the cop busted us drunk in the street of Constitución (A little town far away in the south). We didn't have any problems there, but we got in the police pickup truck to the police station. Ja ja ja, that one was funny.
PD: We also call him Gñome (Gnome with ñ) cause he is small sized.

Jack Black, the comedy musician

Jack Black is an actor who participate in a lot of movies and tv series. He was born in Santa Mónica, in August 28 of 1969. He grew up jew, because his mother is from that religion. His parents divorced when he was ten yeas, so he had a lot of troubles to find a school.
He studied drama in the University of California, where he meet his loyal friend, Kyle Gass. Then he started to participate in some movies as an extra. He also participated in tv series as well. His career grew when he started to participate in the movies as the principal character.
In the 2006, he made his own movie called "Tenacious D", as himself as a character. There he tell the story of the creation of his band called "Tenacious D" as well. His friend Kyle Gass is in the movie too. They use to make gags together.
I like him, because he defend the heavy metal. He use to joke about it, but he always make me laugh. He also made a videogame, called "Brutal Legends", where he perform a band manager who travels to the heavy metal land. That's insane, but well, he made it.
Some videos of him:

those memories that I'll never see again
The city that I like the most is Concepción. But well, the problem is that I'm talking about the old Concepción, cause you know, the earthquake and those things.
Anyways, the city is in the south, located in the eighth region of this country. Well there are all the facilities that a city must have. But I like one in particular. It's the famous "Fuente alemana" (German Fountan, literally ja ja). there are a lot of sandwiches like the "Churrasco" and the "lomito" (Try to pronounce thoses in english ja ja).
Well, there is the University of Concepción (A big and fine place to study if I may say that). But that's the only place to visit. I would like more parks or maybe a tematic parks (dreaming is free).

At home...
Well, I was at home, playing in the computer (yes, I know, I'm an adict) when I felt a deep and little sound coming from the ground. When you live here in Chile, you learn to hear the ground, so you could know when a seismic movement will come.
I thought: "It will be a soft movement, nothing to worry about". But I was completly wrong. When the movement released its fury upon us, I run through the house and I stood below the door's frame. Then I thought "damm it, I have to look after my parents". But when I saw towards the stairs, I saw my dad with my mom coming down.
At the end we held under the door's frame during all the earthquake. Then the electricity went down and we had no comunication. Luckly we could call my grandma who lives in Constitución.
Four days later, We went to see my grandma in Constitución. There was a lot of destruction and misery. An uncle of mine lost his house, so we went to lend a hand.
Yeah, it is sad, and the lesson is... Don't forget the power of the nature if you want to stay alive.

Something strange
Well, I don't know how to start this. My name is Javier Chamorro, I'm 20 years old. I'm studing journalism in the Image and Comunication Institute (I hope that I translate it well) of the University of Chile. Anyway, I didn't want to study that because my preference was cinema. By the way, I'm right here, in front of this computer and writing this introduction of myself.
When I was in the high school, I used to go to a british institute that was near to my home. There, I learn a lot but I refuse to continue because I enter to the University. So I think that I lost a lot of my vocabulary, pronounciation and compression of the languaje. So I make the decision to re-take english and finish it.
Thats why I think that this situation is something strange. Because I have to re-learn those things that I forget, and then, learn new things that could help me in the process. In any case, I think that I'm prepared.
PD: I like the metal music, the cinema, the photography and the videogames. I'm a little nerd guy.
